BRC global standards - consumer goods put forward quality requirements for safe and legitimate consumer goods (see the definition of "quality" in the terms). These consumer goods can be an inherent brand, a retailer's own brand, or a brand that is used by other organizations.
This standard is designed to improve the safety, legitimacy and quality of the product, rather than to cover the safety and health of the staff, the environment and the ethics.
The scope of application of BRC global standard consumer goods covers the products within the scope of the EU general product word Guide (2005).
The scope of application of this standard does not include:
Motor vehicles belonging to the rules governing the use of road traffic and building construction
Fuel sold in bulk or in recycling containers
Service industry (insurance, bank, etc.)
Prescription drugs
Vitamins, minerals and herbaceous additives
Gardening and planting of plants and flowers
Living animals and pets
"BRC/IoP global standards - food packaging materials and other packaging materials" covers the scope of the application of the packaging of food contact.
This standard applies to manufacturing, warehousing and delivery before delivery. This standard does not apply to the following activities:
wholesale
Imported
Distribution or warehousing (outside the scope of direct control of the place of production)
